Josh was saved at the age of 15. A couple years later, the Kent family moved to Northwest Indiana, where Josh graduated from high school before attending seminary. In 2004, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pastoral Theology. In 2007, Josh and his wife moved to Des Moines, Iowa, to help start a church. During those early years, they served as a volunteer working with young people and also as chairman of the deacon board. In 2015, the church brought him on staff full-time to serve as youth pastor and assistant pastor. For nine years, Josh served at First Baptist Church in Des Moines, Iowa, before God led my family to Cedar Rapids. Josh and Sarah, along with their four daughters, moved here in 2024, where he currently serves as the senior pastor of Victory In Grace Baptist Church. The Kent family have been blessed to serve here since April 2024.
